Exploring the World of Japanese Craft Sake
An introduction to the James Beard Award-winning book Rice Water, Earth: Exploring the World of Japanese Craft Sake, with Toronto-based co-authors Nancy Matsumoto and Michael Tremblay. Our talk will include an overview of the basics of sake: what it is, how it is made, and how to serve and drink it, as well as a bit of back story on how our book went from idea to published reality, and a synopsis of several of the book’s major themes. Finally, we will tell you why there has never been a better time to get in to craft sake than this moment!
