This year, RC Show celebrates its 80th anniversary. EVNT MGMT’s Landon Logie teases the plans for what’s going to be an Opening Night Reception to remember.
Each year, the Opening Night Reception caps off the first day of RC Show with a celebration that unites the industry’s most influential voices and up-and-coming talent, brands and companies for a night of inspiration, connection and collaboration in the heart of Toronto. The event is more than a party—it’s a celebration of what’s possible when hospitality, innovation and passion come together.
As RC Show marks its 80th anniversary, this year’s milestone edition promises to exceed expectations, embodying the spirit of creativity and innovation that drive the industry forward. Co-presented by Restaurants Canada and Food Truck’N Experience, the event will capture the dynamic spirit of hospitality and foodservice, blending networking, top-notch food and drink experiences, and live entertainment in an elevated, unforgettable experience.
Landon Logie, Senior Event Producer at EVNT MGMT, RC Show’s event, stage and competition production partner, is known for developing and delivering high-end culinary and hospitality experiences. Over the last five years Landon has played an integral role in producing various RC Show events and hospitality activations with EVNT MGMT. Her passion, meticulous attention to detail, and belief that people will always remember how you made them feel are the ingredients that flavour her seemingly effortless success. We sat down with Landon to learn more about EVNT MGMT’s ambitious plans for this year’s set piece event, inspired by RC Show brand partners from across the show floor and perfectly curated to seamlessly follow RC Show’s headline speaker and social impact pioneer.
When asked what attendees should expect from this year’s reception, Landon smiles: “Open your minds to an enchanting urban garden experience—a sophisticated celebration of sustainability and innovation. Centered around The Food Truckn’ Experience & the Speaker Stage, guests will be welcomed with creative cocktails and mocktails and the energy of a dynamic live band. This vibrant journey will blend sensory design, interactive food as theatre, and unparalleled creativity into an unforgettable evening filled with life, connection, and culinary artistry. This year’s Opening Night Reception experience is all about sustainability, brought to life through fresh, biophilic design. The EVNT MGMT team will bring nature indoors, setting the tone for a fresh and unforgettable experience. Event features and activations will see the Enercare Centre’s Speaker Stage, Food Truck’N Experience, and Heritage Court spaces transformed by living greenery, natural textures and organic elements.
Passion, prosperity and potential are what drive the hospitality and foodservice industry forward, and RC Show 2025’s theme, FUEL, provides the perfect inspiration for this year’s celebration. While last year focused on leveling up, this year’s goal is to aim even higher.

Landon may be an events industry veteran, but RC Show is her “Superbowl”. “I love the pressure of having to top what was done last year,” she admits. “It energizes me. But, my favourite part, specifically, is interacting with people who share the same passion for the industry. It’s that kind of passion all under one roof that leads to such an incredible night.”
At the heart of this reception is celebration, and 80 years is no small milestone. It’s thanks to the show’s loyal attendees, exhibitors, and newcomers, that we’re able to celebrate this milestone anniversary and invite everyone to what will be an Opening Night to remember.
