Volunteering at the RC Show is your chance to get involved with Canada’s leading hospitality and foodservice event.

Volunteers are extremely important to us and the success of the RC Show. We depend on the knowledge and willingness of you as students in hospitality programs to help elevate our attendees’ experience. Our goal is to provide hands-on learning so that you can form a foundation and build upon it as you successfully navigate your career in the hospitality industry. With various roles and responsibilities, you will be immersed in the world of live events and be exposed to the industry like never before.

Volunteer Opportunities

Operations

Operations roles will consist of greeters, runners, show prep, attendee inquiry, and general support. They may be stationed at the entrance of the RC Show, the media room, other prep stations or will be general runners. Some volunteers will be working one-on-one with members of Restaurants Canada, and will be required to provide support and perform requested duties.

Pavilions

There are eight pavilions throughout the RC Show. Volunteers will be assigned to specific pavilions and be the point of contact for exhibitors within that pavilion. Volunteers will be trained to understand the key highlights/contests that are taking place within their respective pavilion. They will have access to a walkie-talkie to escalate any urgent matters. The volunteer will direct attendees through the pavilion and ensure tidiness.

Stages and Competitions

Volunteers' assigned to these areas will have tasks that correspond with the stage/competition they are assigned to. Volunteers and will be required to assist the stage management team and fulfill duties as requested. These may include helping backstage, being a runner, directing attendees, or helping with set-up.

Events

Event volunteers will work closely with the event management team and provide support throughout the night, direct and answer any attendee questions, and fulfill duties asked of them.
