Chef Alida Solomon’s culinary journey began at George Brown Culinary School and has since taken her around the globe—first to Cape Town, South Africa, then to Montechino, Italy, before returning to Toronto to open the acclaimed Tutti Matti. Over the past 22 years, she has earned recognition as a respected and beloved chef, receiving honors such as the prestigious 2009 L’Eccio D’Oro for Osteria of the Year and being named a Fellow of the Institute at the 2016 Ontario Hostelry Institute’s Gold Awards. Known for her passion for Tuscan cuisine, Chef Solomon has cultivated a loyal following among food lovers both locally and internationally.
