RCS: What originally drew you to participating at RC Show and how has that evolved over the years of your continued participation?

EES: Element Event Solutions has a rich history with RC Show, dating back to our earlier days as HostEx. When our company was formed through the merger of nine-leading brands— including Chair-man Mills and Higgins Event Rentals—both of which had long been part of the event, it felt natural for us to continue that tradition.

Originally, our focus was on showcasing our rental solutions, but our continued participation is driven by so much more. RC Show is where innovation, collaboration, and excellence come to life—bringing together top industry professionals for competitions, tastings, and insightful discussions. It’s an incredible opportunity to connect with the best in the business and stay at the forefront of industry trends.

RCS: What’s the most unusual or unexpected rental request you’ve ever received?

EES: One of the most unique requests we’ve received was for a Ferris wheel. We successfully sourced and quoted it, but ultimately, the client decided not to move forward with it. This request showcases the breadth of what we can accommodate—we’re always ready to explore creative and ambitious rental solutions for our clients. While we don’t carry Ferris wheels, we do offer a vast selection of décor and accessories, from popcorn machines and podiums to elegant topiaries, ensuring we can support a wide range of event themes.

EES: A common mistake planners make is not providing precise details for delivery and pickup logistics—things like exact timing, clear load-in instructions, and reliable on-site contacts. Without this information, even the best-laid plans can hit unnecessary snags.

How to avoid it? Triple-check the logistics with your rental provider in advance. Share a detailed timeline, confirm access points, and designate a point person who will be available on-site. Additionally, visiting our showroom and engaging with us early in the planning process allows us to better understand your vision, anticipate potential challenges, and offer tailored solutions. A little extra planning ensures a smooth setup and teardown, keeping the event stress-free and seamless.
