Fabiola Sicard

Fabiola is a results-oriented leader with over 20 years of experience in International Trade, Strategy, Relationship Management, Public Relations, Business Development, Marketing, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking and Retail Banking. In her current role at the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs she serves as a bridge between Ontario-produced food, beverage and agriculture products, and business opportunities in the US and Mexico. She joined the public service at the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade in 2018 where she supported small and medium size enterprises interested in exporting or expanding operations to Mexico and to the US in the aerospace sector. Fabiola spent two years in the consulting business and a decade at Scotiabank where she was part of the team that defined and implemented the bank’s strategy to target and serve newcomers to Canada. Fabiola has been involved in organizations and projects that promote diversity and inclusion. She was a founding leader and Vice-Chair from 2019 to 2023 of Hola OPS, the employee network that represents the Latinx community in the Ontario Public Service. Fabiola holds a bachelor’s degree on Accounting from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) and an International MBA from Schulich School of Business. Fabiola is fluent in Spanish, English and French.
