Irene Matys is a Greek Cypriot, cookbook author, recipe developer, food stylist, and freelance food photographer whose work has graced the pages of renowned publications such as LCBO’s Food & Drink and Best Side Magazine. A passionate advocate for local farmers and producers, she has been an integral part of Plan B Organic Farms since 2015, championing fresh, sustainable ingredients that inspire her Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-influenced cuisine.
As an on-air media food expert, Irene captivates audiences with her ability to transform simple, seasonal ingredients into visually stunning and deeply flavorful dishes. Her cookbook, My Cypriot Table (published by Appetite by Random House), is a heartfelt tribute to her heritage, weaving together traditional Cypriot recipes with Canadian influences, reflecting her journey and love for storytelling through food.
