Kurtis leads the strategic direction for the MSC in Canada and fosters relationships with fisheries, commercial partners, conservation groups, and other stakeholders coast to coast. Based in Victoria, BC, he works with his team to support Canadian partners on their journey toward sustainability, helping ensure the long-term health of fisheries and oceans while providing sustainable seafood to increasingly discerning Canadian consumers. He has over a decade of experience in fisheries, seafood supply chains, the non-profit sector, and marine affairs, and even worked as a fishmonger and ecological reserve warden.
