Sam Osmow's journey from Egypt to Canada was driven by hopes for a better life for his family and he packed with him a passion for his homeland's food. After working various jobs, Sam took a bold step in 1999 to purchase a submarine sandwich shop. However, it wasn't until a regular customer suggested serving shawarma instead of subs that Osmow's Shawarma was born in June 2001. Through community outreach and festival sampling, Osmow's quickly became a cherished culinary destination, with lineups out the door. Sam grew the business through franchising, becoming a mentor and inspiration for many, especially those new to Canada. Today, Sam remains committed to innovation and customer satisfaction at Osmow's, eagerly embracing new ideas and feedback. For Sam, family is everything, and he is proud to have passed the leadership to his children, who continue to bring Osmow's delicious shawarma to customers across North America.
