Sandrine Ramoisy

Founder, TIPS Academy

Sandrine Ramoisy arrived in Canada as a teenager in the early 1990s. With over 30 years of experience, she has worked across Europe, in Montreal and Northern BC, dedicating long hours to front-of-house roles. For the past 17 years, she was a front-of-house manager in a renowned fine dining restaurant in Vancouver, where she honed her expertise in service excellence and leadership. Proudly teaching her managers how to lead their supervisors and team.

Passionate about customer service, Sandrine has always believed that hospitality is more than just a job—it’s a craft that should be respected and mastered. In 2022, recognizing the increasing challenges in finding skilled and motivated staff, she transitioned from working in fine dining to training the next generation. She founded TIPS Academy BC, a 16-hour Introduction to Serving course designed to provide essential front-of-house training. Her mission is to change the perception of hospitality work, inspire new talent, and prepare them for long-term success: Respect for the industry and accountability.

Sandrine’s vision is to make structured training a prerequisite for entering the industry, ensuring that both businesses and employees thrive. She is committed to educating newcomers on the skills, responsibilities, and career potential within the hospitality sector. She believes that service is a privilege, that restaurants are the heartbeat of a community, and that well-trained professionals can elevate the guest experience, improve workplace standards, and transform hospitality into a respected career path.

With an unwavering dedication to professional training, Sandrine is working toward making hospitality education the standard in BC, ensuring that restaurants, hotels, and catering services are staffed with knowledgeable and passionate individuals. She won’t stop until TIPS Academy BC becomes the foundation for success in the industry.
