Shingo represented the USA in the 2012 "Bacardi Legacy'' competition, clinching first place. In 2017, Shingo was awarded Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Award’s International Bartender of the Year. He currently holds a record of 50 appearances in The World’s/Asia’s Best Bars.

In recent years, Shingo is actively introducing Japanese spirits globally. He has crafted shochu, liqueur and spirits that are loved by bars around the world, collaborating with domestic distilleries in Japan. Shingo currently has establishments in Tokyo, New York, Madrid, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Okinawa.
