Stuart is the President of the SilverChef and Econolease Group in Canada, Canada’s largest dedicated hospitality financier. Having initially joined SilverChef in 2020 as Sales Director for Australia and New Zealand, he moved to Vancouver in late 2022 to lead SilverChef’s Canadian operations. Now, as the leader for full group under the SilverChef umbrella in Canada, Stuart is dedicated to supporting hospitality owners with flexible industry leading finance solutions. Before joining SilverChef, he held the position of National Head of Industry Business Banking at St. George Group in Australia, where he led a national team of industry-focused business bankers across St George, BankSA, and Bank of Melbourne with a specific focus on hospitality. With a rich background spanning over 35 years’ experience in commercial and corporate finance, Stuart brings valuable expertise to the team. Much of his career has been spent in the SME and Commercial business segments, ranging from small and family businesses to large corporate groups. He’s held roles in relationship management, strategy, credit and risk management, sales, and business leadership. Stuart is an experienced finance professional and has completed leadership and development programs with AGSM and Institute of Executive Coaching. He has a passion to develop and lead people and has been involved in various mentoring programs within the industry and is actively engaged in the local community and not for profit sector.
