Chef Tammy Maki, recipient for ITAC’s Extraordinary Female Entrepreneur award, is the CEO/Owner of Raven Rising-Global Indigenous Chocolates, a multi-award- winning company specializing in creating artisanal bonbons and confectionary products that focus on the integration of Indigenous ingredients from around the world. Her love of baking and pastry began at a very young age, and after leaving the electrical trade, she returned to school for Baking and Pastry Arts. She honed her craft across Canada, until deciding to combine her passion for pastry and science with her love for Indigenous culture and artistry, and Raven Rising was born. Under her leadership, Raven Rising has become a recognizable name with thriving E-commerce, corporate and commercial sales, and retail partners across Canada.
