Val is a seasoned hospitality professional with decades of industry experience that she brings to her role as an executive recruiter working with some of Canada’s most innovative hospitality brands. Val’s notable 15-year tenure with Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality included five years as Manager and Sommelier at the renowned Canoe Restaurant and ten years as the HR Director. Val played a pivotal role in establishing O&B’s HR department from scratch, implementing crucial processes and strategies that supported the company’s growth from 100 to over 1500 employees. With over ten years of experience in hospitality recruitment, Val also offers HR consulting and conducts food TV casting. She sits on the advisory committees of Centennial College and George Brown College, while also supporting the hospitality sector through mentoring professionals in developing markets.
